Individual hypnosis sessions can be effective for dealing with these, and a host of other problems.

The Interview

Before we begin individual hypnosis sessions, we start with an in-depth interview. This helps me to understand the nature of the conditions we need to work on, and to develop powerful and individual images which will motivate and support the new ways of thinking and acting that you desire.

Why Hypnosis is Effective

Everything we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world.

Every second of our lives we live in a constant stream of thought. Collectively, these thoughts come together and create our perception of our world and ourselves. After years of responses based on these perceptions, we form a learned way in which we react to the world.

For example:

You always smoke after a meal, because that behavior is paired strongly with the circumstances in which the urge arises.

You get nervous about making a presentation because you believe that you are not an effective speaker.

You put off doing important task because you are overwhelmed by projects, and don't break jobs down into manageable bites.

All of these examples are just thought patterns. They are ways in which we learn to see ourselves and our world. The thoughts we are aware of come from deeper levels of mind, they arise from our subconscious.

Hypnosis is an effective tool for change because it actually rewrites the subconscious programming and creates an internal environment which supports change. In the hypnosis session, the client enters a state of deep relaxation in which the critical faculty is relaxed and new images and associations can be implanted into the subconscious. This is a powerful support for change.
